A Vision Found in the Hay Loft:
The story of Niceland Farm begins several years before the property was ever officially ours. For years, our founder, David Nice, drove past this land, aware of its presence but waiting for the right moment. When the “For Sale” sign finally went up, the path to ownership was not immediate, but the pull toward the property was undeniable.
After years of inquiry, David finally stepped onto the land and entered the original barn. It was a space frozen in time, filled with old tools and the lingering aroma of an operating farm. Upon climbing the ladder to the hay loft, David experienced a life-changing spiritual encounter. As he stood amidst the loose hay and overhead trolleys, he felt the Holy Spirit of God clearly speak: “Use this place for my kingdom and my Glory and I will bless your family with this farm”. In that moment, the vision for a space dedicated to music, worship, and community was born.
Preserving the Honor and Character of the Land:
When we finally began the journey of purchasing the property, we were faced with a choice. The barn was in such a state of neglect that it would have been significantly easier and less costly to tear it down and start over. However, that was never an option for the Nice family. We felt a deep calling to preserve the honor and character of this place.
For seven years, David and the entire family have dedicated themselves to clearing the land and restoring the barn using reclaimed lumber. This was a labor of love, requiring us to push through frustrations and persevere with the belief that we were being obedient to a higher calling. Today, the result is a farm that blends timeless rustic charm with unparalleled detail and elegance, offering a warm atmosphere that only a true family-owned farm can provide.
